La Cappella - Aspinwall, PA

La Cappella is located in the Waterworks Mall on Freeport Road in the Aspinwall area. I did a quick search for a pizza shop that was close to my home and this was one of the first that came up. To me they seem like a knock off of the Olive Garden that offers dine in, takeout and delivery.

The crust was the low point of this pizza. It wasn't bad but if it was better this would have been a very good pizza. The crust was thinner than normal and had some flavor to it. I couldn't help but think that they did not make in their restaurant and it came to them as frozen lumps of dough. They use very little sauce on this pizza. I normally like pizza that is easy on the sauce so I was a fan of this. It was hard to get a good taste of the sauce as their was so little of it. The cheese was plentiful and flavorful and was the best part of this pizza. Overall, I don't have any major complaints. All the parts of this pizza went well together and it was better than average. I would eat it again but it wouldn't be my first choice for pizza in the area.
