This has to be one of the worst pizza experiences I have ever had. I didn't plan on having pizza tonight but due to the rain I could not use the grill so we decided to order pizza. Stello's Pizzeria is located on
Creighton Russellton Rd. in Russellton, PA. I called in my order as I was leaving. I ordered the 16 cut New York style plain. As you can see by the image below what I received was far from that. Don't get me wrong, if the pizza I received would have been good I would not have any problems with it. My personal preference is New York style, but when it comes down to it a good pizza is good and a bad pizza is bad. This was a bad pizza.
The crust was cooked properly, so I cannot blame that poor flavor and soggy texture on something like improper cooking. It was just low quality. The sauce was very bland. It could have possibly been plain unseasoned tomato sauce. There was a good amount of low quality cheese. Gas station pizza is the best way to describe this pizza. This is one of the few times I have wanted my money back, but I am not going to do that. Instead I will spread the word to stay clear of this pizza shop.
Crust: 4/10
Sauce: 3.5/10
Toppings: 4.5/10
Overall: 4/10
