Mineo's - Squirrel Hill

I finally got around to trying out Mineo's in Squirrel Hill on Murray Ave.  When I ask people what their favorite pizza shop is, Mineo's is usually mentioned.  We went around 8:30 or so on Saturday evening and the place was very busy.

The crust was good but I think it was to thin.  It had plenty of flavor and was cooked well.  The sauce was good and not to sweet.  They use a good amount of cheese which was nice and melty and gooey.  I believe Mineo's popularity is due to a lot of hype.  Don't get me wrong, it was a decent pizza, but it wasn't even in the top three that I have tried so far.  Overall, I would go back and next time I will try it with sausage and mushrooms.  I have heard the sausage is excellent.
